ROBOTRONIKA

Current developments in automation and robotics confront us with diverging future possibilities /new scenarios of the future: Will self-teaching household devices and automated work systems lead to improved standards of living or to unemployment? Will the future be dominated by individuals creatively programming on Lego sets or will we live in fear of remote-controlled war?

An increasing number of internationally renowned artists are dealing with robotic technology, cybernetic systems, mechanical environments and the production of robots. Visitors to ROBOTRONIKA will have the rare opportunity to view the most amazing and possibly most important robotic showcase in Austria.

In the accompanying symposia, robotics experts from business, research and art will discuss with political representatives the social and economic implications of automation and will hypothesize future scenarios.

Robotic exhibits from numerous areas of application such as industry, high-tech entertainment, science, medicine and art will appeal to specialists as well as to a broader public.

The varied program with lectures, round-table discussions, installations, multimedia presentations, guided tours and a Lounge promises an exciting experience for everyone.
